Some more Oman Fish

I have managed to track down some pictures from a couple of fishing trips earlier this year. Most of the fishing was off the coast of Salalah.

Piracy is still a real concern down there. Here you can see the razor wire round the guard rail of a tanker
Most vessels carry some form of security personel. A mate of mine runs an operation supplying security guards, armed in the main with .30-06 calibre rifles I believe.

Apparently the "aught six" is the "go for calibre."

Maybe time to start a thread - "Best calibres for pirates".

Pitching deck, night-time, handy short barrel etc... (Bit like night-time fox shooting off the back of a Land-Rover though somehow I don't think the .243 would be enough for the buggers!)

Ha ha, it would be a good topic for a thread.

I am guessing a full auto or semi-auto 5.56 is the go to rifle for some.
