Hey guys,
A couple years ago I came upon a web page where a fellow had pics of his build of a 2 bore muzzle loader in an old German looking style. If I recall correctly he engraved "17**" on it (can't remember the exact year).
Does anyone have any pics of this rifle, a link to the web page perhaps? I've been trying and trying but can't find it anymore. Hoping someone saw and saved the pics.
Cheers, Ash.

If this is the gun you are referring to, it has too much drop at the heal and toe for a typical Jaeger.- in my opinion, of course, it will not be a 'normal' Jaeger in design. 2 bore sort of redefines the big-bore principal.

Here is the stock shape to duplicate in a modern Jaeger (Steutzen ie:short rifle). This rifle is typical of virtually all of the picture of original Jaegers I have seen in books. Bro, Taylor, who built this one, has an absolutely remarkable book of exquisite pictures and descriptions of original Jaeger rifles - amazing. He built this one long before getting the book and it is pretty much spot-on, but a little plain in design, engraving, carving, etc. Too - it uses a maple stock instead of walnut.

Absolutly beautiful! Taylor is a very talented artist. I never tire of looking at the pictures you post of the guns/rifles he has created.

Holding the CTRL button and pushing the =+ button or rolling the scroll wheel on the mouse, enlarges the picture/screen, however the file size of this rifle does not support too close a picture.
Holding the CTRL button and pushing the ZERO key, returns your page to normal.

This rifle has been 'blooded' several times & now belongs to a local German Chap, a guide and outfitter who is a fine gentleman, an archer and a sportsman.

Daryl, If a guy wants to make a 2 bore barrel and stock it in a chunk of wood and call it a Jaeger, I'm not gonna argue with him,,, I won't argue with anyone that has a 2 bore!!!!LOL
