Original Rigby/Oberndorf metal finish?

I'm interested to know what the original metal finish was for the early Rigby and/or Oberndorf Mauser sporting rifles. I understand that they were rust blued prior to the 1930's, but to what final polish? Also, what parts might have been fire or nitre blued, and what parts might also have been casehardened.

first 2 pics are of my .303 and its original finish next 3 pics are of my 400/350 also all original finish you can see what parts stick out that are nitre blued.....paul
