why cant they be found for sale looked for a year and a half.none ever made it to the states to be sold remington reps who told me that......

I think they were "flintlocks" ie a "flash in the pan" that never happened or will.

nope i got one on the way,only 100 made it into the country sucked up faster thaan a pretty girl in a mining camp.and they are not that pretty i will let you know how they function when the package gets here,i saw the 45 70 pos,12 gauge with tubes and some sort of locking device on the ends,had hammers but i dont even know if they were functional did not look like what was advertized.i figure the 06 will be a good trainer for the kids.will keep you posted.never give up........you never know.

Saw one at an Iowa gunshow last week in .45-70. Interesting rifle, but for roughly $875 I didn't even look at it closely. $900 will buy me a very nice handgun or Garand, so I decided to not even bother. If I could get one for $650 it would be tempting.
