Norma 8x57 Question
      #244694 - 31/03/14 07:58 AM

I found two boxes of Norma 8x57 JS in 159 grain softpoints. I have yet to find anything anywhere on the web concerning this grain load. Does anyone have any expierence with the 159 grain Normas or know the performance figures for this loading?
Thanks as always

This is all the published info I have on the Norma 8x57 159gr load (couldn't find ballistics data specific to Norma):

Hope it is of some use.

It would seem to me that a Euro-spec 159 grain softpoint in 8x57 should be deadly for whitetails.

The S&B 196 SP accounted for a big mulie dow and cow elk from my Sauer drilling. Would also hold 5 in 2" with open sights from these ancient eyes.
