Jeffrey-Mann-Schoenauer price?

Is this really what these rifles are worth? It seems high to me.

Casper
You got a bargain. Agree with Lancaster, I would have thought between 2 and 3.

That would go at Holts for about GBP800 (maybe a bit less) plus commish INMO, best, Mike

Makes sense Casper, a few Americans have told me they are harder to find over in the USA than Europe hence I guess the slightly wacky price. Another contrast is the Winchester Model 21 shotgun,
one of the clunkiest things I've ever handled (albeit hell for stout), in Europe you can buy one for 800 GBP, not easy to find but not that rare. In the States they love them, I've seen them at $5000 !! best

... In the same vein, there is a genuine Lee-Speed in a local gunshop that has been there for four years for £400 or $650 that no-one wants. Bore is a bit worn, but OK really.

The after-market peep-sight chiseled into the stock would be a total deal-breaker for me.

Should have an original cocking-piece peep to be worth anything like the figures you guys are quoting, let alone the breath-taking asking price!

Just silly....

Here is my jeffery steyr 1892 in the rain last fall chasing whitetails. I love the bolt peep. Actually I love everything about it. One of my favorite rifles.

They are great looking rifles. I only have Mannlicher-Schoenauer firearms (beginning with the 1903 model), however I am looking forward to adding at least one of these earlier "Mannlicher" rifles to the collection.
