Hi all, been out the last 2 days hunting scrubbers, got this Bull early morning, dedicate this one to a good man Ryan Ashton who had a passion to hunt....this ones for you big fella!!

Area hunted is incredible thick, vision is 15 m to 50 m at the best of times...a double rifle paradise !!Spotted this bull on first day on the very last minutes of light. Returned same spot seen next morning before dark. At the first light Bulls became very vocal, could here 3 to4 Bulls up ahead 800 meters going for it. Walked to the area & found this bull and another black bull bellowing and racking bushs at one another and a quick 20 second fight with the black bull taking off. This bull winning the grounds went into the thick and stood. I close the gap to 30 meters. You could hear other bulls bellowing, I was just setting up the video to film the shot when he started to walk off, I gave a deep groan to keep him there, the bull turned and headed straight my way...thinking I was another bull, he came to 8 meters through a gap and gave him 2 from the 450/400 3#.
Hope you enjoy
cheers scrubber.

Scrubber

Awesome bull. That is massive (unless it just looks bigger because it's a bit hunched up).

Sounds like a good hunt.

BTW, that looks like a Sabatti, is that correct ?

HiNitro, is a Chapuis Agex Brousse just picked it up a month ago. The bulls in this area pretty big, that fellas about 800kg on the hoof, good thing in this place they get to get age on them, have a found a few in the past that have died of old age...very big heads!

Wow, died of old age, that is good going.

Anyway, good gun, good hunting and good shooting !!!

I hunt a little place like that when clear Buff out
of an area, it's thick as hell and one time when I
was tracing a big bull who I knew was in there, I came
face to face across a Bush with a cow Buffalo and the
herd milling about behind her !!!

I think we both got a bit of a fright (I knew they were there) but stalked up so close, when they spooked they unexpectedly came towards me !!!.

Scrubber, nice bull, and good short story illustrating it is not shooting milk cows!

Scrubber and Mick,

Condolences on Ryan.
