Wachtel dog

My Wachtel 9 month old. A promising dog, have been starting hunting Fallow deer very promising. Hunt them for about 20 minutes, then comes back and should find a new one to push out to the posters or to me. Shall bark when following. Still very inmature. Are supposed to hunt Wildboars. Some do and some donīt. Here parents are very good Wildboar huntingdogs.

Her face looks very similar to my Lady Jessica's face, English Springer - I miss her.

Please, tell the full official name of your Wachtelhund. As an owner of such dogs for more than 30 years, I would like to know it's pedigree.

kuduae, itīs a female of Swedish breed. Her name is Pantrabackens Tekkla. Both parents are good wildboar Hunters. I did buy her this spring, I had a Wachtel that died suddenly in March. So I had to get a new one. Not easy to get of good breed quickly, but I had one offer from Mecklenburg and two from Sweden. I also have a Deutsche Bracke that I imported 2,5 years ago from Göttingen. Itīs somehow more work when you import a dog, so I decided to take from Sweden. She has started pretty well, we will see??? I was going to hunt With my dogs in Germany last weekend, but because of the storm I couldnīt go. /Staffan

Lovely girl. Poor girl she was driving a fallow doe and fawn towards me in October. They came running out directly towards me and almost ran into me at about seven metres before the doe saw me, quick turn around and off back the way they had come. Very annoying for me, as the fawn was blocked from being shot by its mum almost the whole time, then after the quick flip around, did not get a shot then , all I had was their arses ... knowing arse shot venison is not popular in Sweden I did not take that shot. In Australia I might have taken a head shot, but it is not an insurance shot for other people's hunting area. Even more annoying for the Wachtel (Staffan I forget her name?) when the poor girl came out later and kept trying to follow the tracks, but as the fallow ran in and out on the same tracks, the scent must have been very confusing.
