1 Goat hunt, where to go?

Hello all.

A Mt.Goat hunt looks very interesting. I hunt a lot in the Mt. here in Norway and in Europe, just love it.

I have a dream about going for Mt. Goat hunt.

But, where to go? Canada, Alaska or the lower states?
I do like a backpack trip, spike camps is also fine with me.

Maybe some here can help me with a tip.

I would think based on what I know--Alaska would be a great place to go--we have MT Goat hunting here in Montana..and some very good spots however the non-resident tags are pretty hard to get...

NO--I have only hunted brown bear, caribou and wolves there..
I hve a friend who has hunted there and British Columbia for goats..he likes them both..has had good luck in BC--he was bow hunting them ...

I lived in Kodiak, Alaska for 7 years, and it is an outdoorsman's paradise. You'll be required by state law to have a guide for a goat hunt if you are a non-resident.

I shot my goat in the Terror Lake unit. We flew in on a float plane and it was an incredible experience. I think of it every time I look up at the billy on my fireplace. I highly recommend it.
