Video courtesy my friend Roland Baptiste. Lovely rifle, even lovelier young lady . . .

Good hunting!

Could be really interesting - reduced weight.

Titanium alloy action... Not sure if that is entirely new concept but I think it is the first company presenting it in the Mauser style version. As this alloy has the same strength as steel but is much lighter, to my me it sounds like a good idea for a light stalking rifle (ideally single shot)

It is obvious that Daniela F. is deeply involved in the weaponry business...;)

I have read that Titanium is a poor steel for any gun. It will not function with other metals without galling, It is strong but doesn't wear. You can make something out of it but it is junk when done, and thats if it doesn't burn up in the machining.

S7 vacuum arc remelt steel is supposed to be the best material known today, made of the strongest and purest steel on earth. There are some other more exotic and stronger steels, but no one has ever really used them in arms with any success.

The lighter the gun the bigger the kick, so ok if you love recoil. #makesyourteethloose.

It would be interesting to find out more about the coating they used, Teflon ??? No doubt to address the issue of galling and wear which the presenter did not try to hide.

No try, no progress.

Taconic Arms in New York offered a full Titanium Mauser action more than 10 years ago. That was taken over by Stuart Satterlee when Taaconic got out of the firearms business to concentrate on aerospace components in Titanium. Right now, Armeria Concari in Europe also offer Titanium Mauser actions. Fanzoj are the latest addition to the list. However, while others offer the kurz style action in Ti, Fanzoj offer both the kurz as well as standard size actions in the material from what I understand.

Good hunting!

Never heard of Armeria Concari before but their own Mauser actions seem to be of very high quality. By the way they also produce rifles based on Farquharson actions...

Mehul, do you have any experience with the company?

As I remember correctly you have ordered from Dorleac the 7x57 rifle which is a real beauty.
I love the old British styled rifles... By the way Alois Mayr
(http://www.mayr-jagdwaffen.com/english/index.php) is also worth to look at.

Nordmann, I am seeking the best value for my money. Sure I know them and many more but as far as I know they are in the same price (quality) class as H&H. Thus for me that is something beyond my budget...
