I haven't seen anything better. The lines of the early small bore Boss O/Us are just exquisite. There is one other Boss 28 at Lewis Drake (sold long back but photos are still up) that would be a strong contender for the silver medal in competition with this gun.

But would you take this gun on an upland bird hunt? I couldn't do it.

Mckinney, I owned the gun Lewis had, it was a much later gun, single trigger and no rib...inferior condition gun, but still a very nice gun...the one I have now has full filed rib, gold inlay, full wood to an engraved butt plate, 100% finish and fabulous provenance.

What is the value of the gun? $500k, $750k ,$1million or even $5million!. If your'e a billionaire and you collect Boss's and you want to own the very best one, why does it matter what the price is? Everything is relative!

Nordmann, after our exchanges about value for money, I think you'll probably get that price. If I were a billionaire, I'd pay 500K for this piece before I'd spend 2.8% of my net worth for a chair.
