Walked some floodplains today with the" Fat lady". Took two boars and a sow with 1 shot each. first boar at 25 second boar and sow at 45m. Pleased with the handling of the rifle, fits well and is ideal for instinctive shooting. Also got a boar with the 223 winchester. Heres some pics Mick

Nice work, Mick. Warms the cockles of me heart to see that rifle still doing sterling work amongst the tuskers.

They are a wonderful design. What bullet do you use in the .223? Well done, Mick.

Great photos Mick, that is a very nice rifle, I very nearly bought it, I kicked myself when I realise it had gone although it has obviously gone to a good home.
Picked up a 470 NE Merkel double instead though and will give it a run in the NT later this year. Might have to consider catching up for a beer.
