FYI
there is a really good article in the July issue of FIELD AND STREAM on what works in the new compound bows..tehy shot 10,000 arrows checking out different rests, length of pull, different lenths of bows, various arrows, etc..

E-gad that's not a bow. That's one of those new fangled arrow launching devises. A bow is a recurve or longbow, that uses muscle power to draw it to full draw. Not something that starts out at 65# and you end up holding 8# at full draw.

Each to their own..

I personally have used recurves for many years when I first started and even now, every now and then I will pull it out, shoot a while and go hunting with it,,but also like the compounds as well..and also like them when showing someone new to the game...bottom line is now matter what you are shooting, normally to make an ethical shot you need to be close..period...really not a ton different than comparing the new super mags to the cartridges of days gone by..have to decide your personal tastes and make proper judgements in the field..IMHO,,
