Well, I would say it could help with taking away some
of the odour.

Problem is, like NBC Suits, you only have to leave
a small gap and who knows how much odour leaks out
that could be picked up by an animal ?

Ha' funny stuff Ripp, years ago when carbon was being tauted, I remember it would always bring up some heated discussions.

I have used it when hunting/living in the east, I think it is at its best utility when hunting small plots where you cannot use/work the wind. I hunted places in SE Pennsyvania that where 2 acres (my rifle range is bigger than that now....:):):)

I harvested a very good WT in Missouri while wearing it, thou I can say it had no bearing on the outcome. The property owner required it. The rut was crazy and he ran right up to me, I yelled, he charged right in, I shot. My 300wby at 10yds was way more effective than the carbon underlayer.

All said, I think if the wind is in your face, the carbon will work well for anything up wind.......

It seemed to help a bit during my longbow hunts, but I found that it certainly didn't mean you can ignore the wind. I would say that it gives a bit of a margin for error. I have been just as close to Whitetails with and without it. And that goes for being on the ground as well as in a tree-stand. I have sold my carbon clothing for more wool, tweed, and Bean boots! It just never felt right with a longbow or a .450 BPE double in hand! Maybe that makes me a bit of a luddite.

My thought has always been, and maybe I am wrong in my thinking, but while one is wearing this you are still breathing..portions of your face/head are still exposed..so the scents would still be there..no ???

I firmly believe in wearing rubber boots walking in to a tree stand...as I have witnessed one morning that I did not wear rubber boots..you could see my trail from the tree stand in the grass as it had morning dew on it..when a heard of elk came by..the lead cow smelled my tail and jumped over the top of where I walked in..had I not actually seen that I would have called bs to it..but I did see it...animals have an amazing sense of smell..while it may be possible to subdue it somewhat in my opinion you will not totally eliminate it..

Merino underlay, maybe the same in oversocks/ gaiters. At a pinch for a soft approach use rowers/sailing neoprene boots.

Have not used carbon clothing, but I do crush leaves from trees/bushes in the area. I rub these over my outer clothing including armpits etc. I then place some in my pockets. Any fresh droppings I use my boots to rub this over the other boot, thinly. Doing this and using clothing that is washed with Sports Wash is when I have my best results.
