I am looking for reloading information for a combination gun that is a 16ga / 6.5 x 70R. Does any one reload this calibre? Can you share some information about this gun?

First of all check the 16 ga chamber length. It will almost assuredly be 65mm.

For the 6.5x70R try 25gr of IMR 3031 and a 120 gr Speer Spitzer. It shoots about like a 25-35, or a bit under. It is not a good caliber for anything bigger than roe deer. It is an uncommon caliber. Do you have dies? A Berdan priming tool will porbably be necessary, also. I have no idea where to get brass.

I allways like to hear that this fine cartridge life. I think bertram make brass but you will better take the new norma 6x70R brass. this is basically the old 6,5x70R, you will only expand the mouth.

Thanks for the reply. I have 2 original cases with 2 bullets that measure .262 diameter. I made a chamber cast and it appears to be a .257 bore. I found some new cases with american primers. These cases need to be sized to the correct dimension but I don't have the dies -- DO YOU?

R.C.B.S. supplies the dies...for about the price of another rifle... I borrowed some 6.5x57R dies and neck sized, only. I had the gun for only a short time and had only 8 brass. I also borrowed the same friend's Berdan deprimer. I believe I used .217 Berdans, and I don't remember the shell holder #.

Got tired of having to do things this way and traded the gun off...
