Not a double set trigger fan so much, but nice to see un-molested Oberndorf

Gorgeous rifle, great caliber. Wish I had the bucks at the moment. My absolute favorite stock configuration.

3 very cool additions to the archives.

Would love to see details on the magazine of that 5.6x52R

yes all 3 are very good but the halger rifle is absolutly stunning

it looks like the 5,6x52R have a spacer in the magazine to make it shorter

This rifle was sold today and the price was 11000 SEK (~ 1685 US$) + fees. IMO quite cheap price for such a rare mauser.

Very fascinating m98 Mauser for sale in Sweden. Seems to be a bit later "cousin" to my african Mauser:

nice wood and the full lenght octagonal barrel is something you dont see every day

just have the day for free and we will go a small step aside

there are some of the older Sako L46 for sale in finland and they imho the nicest mini mauser's ever made
oh, such a temptation

I'm a little curious about the barrel/forearm band, it looks very appealingly solid for a working rifle but in these free-floating days, I'm curious how accuracy may be affected?

Seeing the caliber being 7x33 sako I guess many use/used them for capercaillie and other birds, small targets on some distance. Anyway, lovely rifle!

Igorrock,
I'm now the happy owner of that African 8x60 Mauser with 28" octagonal barrel sold yesterday in Sweden at Walter Borg auction.
Now, we must add auctioneer fee and shipping charges, but overall it seems a nice buy.
More about it when it comes in our premises in South of France.

DORLEAC, luck for you ! Next time you have to buy my African one. It comes for sale quite soon. Maybe you could have some problems with it, caliber is old swedish army 6,5x55....?

The optimal shooting distance for 7x33 is less than 100 meters. This caliber was designed for those who hunt capercaillie and black grouse with barking dog.

I really wanted to bid on that, having a Jagdschein and being stationed in Germany. However, I was unsure if I would be able to import it to the US.
