Nice rifle but at 8 lbs. I'm thinking I'd need a whole lot more eye relief than that scope probably has. Even with that I can't see it as much fun to shoot with me not being into hellish discomfort. In 7X57 and 8X57 the Heerens are neat little guns and Hartmann & Weiss makes some real gems.

Lots of nicely done bling, but looks to me to be another case of an artist's rendition, rather than a hunters', of what a rifle should be.

With that stock design, it might have a LOT of muzzle-rise, which means it needs a good smack of eye relief.

Light, but the same weight as the .500 Barnes supreme I shot - once - then took a while to recover.

My .458 Alaskan weighed 9 1/2 pounds - about right for 2,200fps with a 500gr. I'd not shoot a large bore 8 pounder - again.

I once had a Ruger #1 45/70 (7 pounds) that I planned on shooting 400 grainers at 2000+

It hurt, of course, but but I think the lighter rifles don't inflict the punch like whack a heavy one does.

I'm fairly light, so my shoulder just moves with the rifle.
