Gunsmith suggestions for a CZ550 Safari Magnum?
      #22781 - 29/12/04 06:19 AM

Hey Men,

This is my first post to this forum, and let me say that I'm glad to be here. Anyway, can anyone suggest a gunsmith who can glass bed, cross bolt, and add a 3 position safety on a CZ550 Safari Magnum for me?

I'm placing an order for either a 375 or 416 in the next week, and am trying to plan ahead. I'll probably go with the 375, as it will be a little more useful to me, and less costly to play with (ammo-wise). Any information would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Another suggestion is to give Mark Penrod a call:

(260) 982-8385

He does fine work and your unlikely to find a better smith.
Just set another rifle for him to go through today.

Another would be JJ Perodeau at Champlin Firearms, Enid, OK.

JJ has performed work for and is trusted by several members of the forum, including me!

I have seen two people on two beards ask about cross bolting a CZ550 Safari Magnum. Is mine the only one that came with a crossbolt from the factory?

Try Fred Zeglin at www.z-hat.com He has built several rifles for me and has done a great job. He has also fixed other 'smiths problems, too. His prices are fair and his turn around is about what he says.
