At Holt's auction yesterday I thought some of you would appreciate these

Purdey .465 Nitro self opener

Very nice at GBP 43000 plus 27% commission/tax

Holland & Holland .375, ex Maharajah better value?? at GBP 25000 plus 27%

I wish I could have brought them home

I know of a Purdey Shotgun with exactly the same
engraving / oak leaf clusters. Superb.
