Nice.

How does the quick takedown forend release work on one of these? Does it cause the wooden forend stock to come off the barrel like a shotgun? Or release a small catch joining the forend to the rest allowing the barrel to be rotated and slipped out of the action? Assuming the barrel thread is grooved?

Thanks to anyone who can answer.

Hey John,
If it is like a Fraser (prehaps a Fraser is like a Holland ???) the release is to remove the forestock and then the barrel will be fully thread, unthread completely and "snap" forestock back on to fit in motorcase.

Very nice indeed.

I couldn't see where the H&H was.

Is it on the barrel ?

My Westley TD the forearm does not come off. The forearm and barrell unscrew once the lever is pulled.

A WR light weight .318 I am potentially buying is the same way. "Latch" is different but the same. Snap open latch and quarter rotate the barrel/forestock assembly and it withdraws from receiver.
I am only speculating but I am thinking this Holland is a full thread style.
