I saw this on GB very rare J.Bettie 12 bore, I have a knife made by this maker about all I could ever afford lol

If I had the money laying around waiting for a decent condition rifle, I'd just buy it outright instead of haggling.
Love it - in case and what looks like complete.

It´s rare til see a borerifle cased from the original maker + all the accesories.

Really a nice rifle. I will say it again, that there is something special added to these borerifles one does not get to feel from like a .500cal Express.

I wonder what such rifle will end up in?. 25-27Ks?. maybe more?.

This 12 bore has been listed for several weeks already and has a buy it now price 12K.USD. Not a bad price IMO for this rifle.

it is a very nice rifle and considering its no newer than the 1880's
with case and tools, but all I can do is dream......

The gun hasn't been marketed well. Originally the ad claimed the gun to weigh 18lbs. I had some correspondence with the seller and he is either clueless about the specs of the rifle or he is being coy. Ultimately he admitted to the gun weighing 12.5 lbs but was unable to answer other basic questions. It might well be a good deal for 12k., who knows?

If it was a 10 bore I would bid on it without question, but as a 12 bore in the UK it would have to be on a section 1 Firearms certificate which the 10 bore would not

Birmingham trade made by W&C Scott or Phillip Webley and retailed by Beattie, they (Bore rifles) are that more special, even though I do like a "standard" double rifle
