Very nice hill stag.
Is the stock "colour" on your SAKO a factory option or custom ??? I have seen similar offered by the SAUER family of arms. A friend in Pa. has a M-03 with same as well as a (horror)Savage 9.3x62 factory rifle, in same clothing.

Staffan I had never seen that deer before, ever! And when I did I had to close the one Kilometre gap and beat the fast finishing light, believe me there was no time for any photos.
A week ago when I took him the camera light was finished at 8.20 I shot just after 8. That wet mud on his antlers is from his final wallow. He has an inch of fat all over and I have already eaten four rump steaks from him since, sweet and juicy too!
The stock I sent to the US for the Mothwing Orange Camo a couple of years ago,its prob the only MWO in Aussie, many don t like,I do especially after taking that nice red. He is longer than he looks as in the pic he`s laying back a bit.

HA! He's beautiful, Gryphon - was going to ask if his antlers were muddy with VERY dark, black mud- but then read your post.
Way to go! He looks soooooo - round and smooth - I would expect he'd be GREAT eating. Well done!

Waidmannsheil JG!
Glad to see your efforts in chasing the reds paid off. Nice 12 point Royal stag. Hope to see it on your wall one day in the future too.

Great stag Gryph. There's a quiet valley I he where it seems that the old boys go to rest during the rut when some upstart kicks hs arise dring the runt. Never see a doe there, only nice old stags. I got busted b one last year with immensely long brows but modest tops but no shot opportunity. Maybe this year? That stag has certainly got me looking forward t gettingot for a hike. Beautiful animal.
