Asian Dangerous Game

Here's one that may be more theoretical

Asian Dangerous Game

What do you feel is the Dangerous Game of Asia?

The sad thing is that Asia probably offers or once offered hunting equivalent to many parts of Africa. But it can not be hunted now due to laws, or simple scarcity and the need to protect breeding populations. One wonders though if safari hunting was introduced wouldn't that actually add value to the game and improve their chances of survival?

What animals do you believe are the Dangerous Game of Asia?

Most of these or none of these (?) can be hunted but they are still in the wild in places and were once great trophies.

Tiger;
Leopard;
Indian Elephant;
Gaur, Seledang or other Wild Cattle
Crocodile - both saltwater and fresh water
Bear

Any others?

The Indian Rhino, especially a cow with a calf in tow, can be very dangerous indeed.
Male Nilgai in non hunting areas often turn on and have have been known to kill farmers trying to chase them off their crops.
Wounded wild boar, can quite easily take a limb off with one bite.
A Gaur bull in Musth, will make an unprovoked charge/attack with some pretty crushing consequences !

As far as I know the record for the most people killed by one predator comes form India a leopard female that Jim Corbett finished off can't remeber the nuber but it is very high especially in the case that they only counted confirmed kills from her that was reported.

I have hunted in the jungle of Malaysia several times.

The animal I was most careful about was the tiger. I only saw a track once , but still I consider the tiger to be much more dangerous than an lion.

Otherwise there are some game that can also be dangerous. You just have to look at the list of animals that still exist there , gaur for example.

Never encounted a tiger in the wild...but by the many books I have read about tigers and tigerhunting the tiger is the top stealth hunter. With the except of Jim Corbett , hunting tiger alone in the jungle is a suicide. Better make a test on manhood on something else..lol

One can track the movement of a tiger by listening to the "jungle folk" as Corbett says.
