Taken with my H&H .30 Super Farquharison. My longest shot yet with iron sights at 180 yards. I'm starting to gain confidence in the old Gal.

Congratulations on the shot, and the buck too.

It must be a joy to use such a classic rifle too. And also building confidence with good shooting with open sights.

Great buck, Steve. That's a long shot with that type of sight. It's nice to see rifles like doing what they were made to do. What is the barrel length of your rifle?

Nice buck - good shot - good genetics on him too, being a 4 point (5 with the brow tines). Game branch here is counting the tines now, so I guess I should start - nice 5 point.

The rifle was built in 1926 for the Earl of Cranbrook and has a 28" barrel.

Oh yes! What a marvelous rifle and a nice buck. And a shot to brag about also!

In this rifle's 86 years it may not have enjoyed a better outing. Congratulations, and thanks for sharing.

The rifle is lovely and seeing it makes me glad I own my Army & Navy Farq. (even though it's only half a rifle)! I haven't hunted with mine, but should do so. Right now I'm thinking about a deer hunt using my tiny Rigby .360 DR. . .

Curl

P.S. Wish I had a nice case for my A&N. More photos please.
