CZ 550 in 425 WR

anyone had this rifle in the hands

feeding the 425 WR with the rebated rim design is critical from a double row magazin and I suspect this modell also have it. did it realy works out of the box?

At the Las Vegas SCI show I spoke to these gents. What I notice about firearm manufactures at this show is their supreme confidence in what they sell. Remington only had salesmen there. You could have put them in front of a selection of used cars and they would have been at home. Ruger was no better. Winchester had reps that knew guns and their business. The CZ custom shop guys seemed to know their product. If you do buy one, insist that it has to cycle a full magazine completely or no deal.

By the way, Jack Lott used to have an another bolt for his personal original made .425 WR magnum mauser. That´s why he often used self loaded cartridges with non-rebated rim. The only reason for that smaller rim is ability to use original stripper clips.

Pardon my ignorance but can you get 425WR brass without the rebated rim, who makes it.

you dont get it
in ther early 1990s some cases were made for Harald Wolf probably by Horneber with a "425 WR impr." headstamp but they were never in business with this brass. you can made the 425 WR of 404 cases iirc so just let the 404 rim like it is.

That sounds like a great idea, especially since my 425 is the last big bolt gun that I have left and I have lots of 404 brass.
Since my 425 is on a military Mauser action, is it as simple as finding another bolt, opening the bolt face and extractor, and then setting up the dies to insure the cases headspace properly?
