THE 6.8 MM AND THE 270 ARE ONE IN THE SAME CORRECT SO AN AR SHOOTING 6.8 SPC CAN INTERCHANGE 270 BULLETS TO HAND LOAD

Yes, the 6.8mm and the .270 use the same diameter bullets (.277"). You may want to be careful in selecting bullets though, for the same weight, e 6.8 will have less velocity so some bullets won't expand well in e 6.8. There are a number of bullets designed for the 6.8, the 85gr and 95gr TTSXs from Barnes and the 120gr SST from Hornady are popular with hog hunters. Be careful with reloading data thoug, there are a few different chambers out there, the original specification was botched by Remington when the submitted it to SAAMI. These are known as Spec I chambers and usually can't handle the same pressures at Spec II chambers can. Here is a good place for info on the 6.8:

I have found the 6.8 85 and 96 grain Barnes to be to tough for goats. Even at 30mts unless you hit leg or spine bones they do not open up. On pigs they should do well. Now I just use the 110grain Sierras.
