HA! - way to go, nice elk. 454 yards is quite a poke!

You're making me think about going out to look for a whitetail buck with my little .25 cal. rifle.

Daryl,

Head on out...its not like either of us are getting any younger...

My friend who owns this place is just shy of 78..he was out every day...great to see..

As to the shot..longer than I preferred..that old .264 is a really fun gun/caliber to shoot.....it was an awesome morning..cold, crisp, no wind...could hear for a very very long ways...later that day it started snowing..snowed off and on most of the day..but nice again yesterday...

Take care..and I will await your photos..

No wonder you need to take shots on 500 yards in that flat landscape. Nice pics and gratulations to that big elk! /Staffan

Nice bull, Ripp. I haven't been out yet, but its snowing heavy right now and I'm only at 3400 feet so I can only guess what its doing up the hill. maybe the next day or so might be good.

Magnificent Ripp and Friend. Two great bulls. And sometimes they have to come easy, to make up for the trips where nothing is brought home. Great to use a .264 too. Sounds like it was a tough long but well executed shot.

Amazing work Ripp,

Looks like the old adage of the harder you work the luckier you get certainly rang true.

Regards,

Mog
