Does anybody know if they have made any rifles in 6,5x54 Mauser ? There is for sale rifle in picture attached and seller said that caliber is 6,5x54...
I don't know about 6.5X54, but they made this rifle in 9.3X57.
Since the 6.5X54 has a different case head size and would present feeding and extraction problems in a 98 Mauser action, I think it more likely that the caliber is 6.5X57, but I suppose anything is possible.
It may be a 6.5x54 Mauser, not Mannlicher-Schoenauer. A different case with a standard 8x57-type head size. A quite popular roebuck chambering during the 1920s-30s, most often seen in Mauser Kurz and Schmidt & Habermann M21 short actions. But here it is most likely built on an ex-military M98 action. "Germania Waffenwerk A.G." was noone else than J.G. Anschuetz, Reissmannstr.22, Zella-Mehlis, after WW2 refounded in Ulm, renowned for their target rifles.
I found from an another forum a guy who owns normal lenght m98 in 6,5x54 Mauser made by Germania Waffenwerk A.G. So it seems that those really have been made.
