Zimbabwe hunt

Hello all. I'm just back from a 10 day hunt in Zim. This should probably be in the African forum but I'm posting it here because I took all four animals with the double rifle, calibre .450 #2 NE, that I built a few years ago and posted here.
Buffalo, first shot at 85 yards in very thick scrub, Took four more to seal the deal, including the visible one through the paunch from my PH's .505.

Took this 36 inch Sable at 208 yards with my 350 grain Hornady RNSP load.

This klipspringer was not on my wish list but he presented me with a broadside shot at about 75 yards.

This was my last, a 16 1/4 inch Chobe Bushbuck, taken at about 80 yards.

A great hunt and very satisfying to do it with a gun that I built myself!

Ron, well done. looks like you enjoyed yourself but I have to say I think you might of been undergunned for the Klipspringer

I do like the Sables. Are you having them shoulder mounted?

Rule,
Thanks. The Sable and the bushbuck are going to be shoulder mounts. The buffalo, which I already have a shoulder mount of, and the Klipspringer, are going to be European mounts. As Robert Chester Ruark said, "Use enough gun!".

Ron,

"Scorcher" of a Bushbuck. Great trophy.

All the better for having shot them with your homemade double.

Thanks for the photos.
