Jim Hens with his archery taken Montana bighorn, reported to score 202-2/8 green.

The bighorn is so similar to our Marco Polo sheep. While the MP is found above the snow line the bighorn i believe is found at a lower altitude.

The big Horn is high as well but in this area..it is considered the "breaks" ..badlands terrain..lots of broken up and hilly terrain...this is the same general area I shot mine 2 years ago..

this is in that area...

Why do they call it 'BADLANDS"Is it because of the terrain or were there bad people(outlaws)out there.

Probably a little bit of both... ....but more so because of the terrain..

Another reason is it's not the best for ranching. Hay & oats only grows around the sloughs, but there's lots of those.

The Badlands runs up into Canada, both Alberta (Drumheller) and Saskatchewan.

My grandfather, when 17 years old came to Canada and bought 16 sections in the Northern end of the Badlands in Sask.
