SIACE double in 9.3x74r
      #21667 - 04/12/04 07:34 AM

I'm looking at a new siace double in 9.3x74r. They have a color cased box lock that is made to your measurements. With a claw mount and 1.5-5.5x20 leupold scope mounted it runs for around 6500$ canadian. That's around 5200-5600 USD with the current fluctuations in currency. Does anyone have one of these doubles? What is the quality and finish like?

This will be my second double, but the first one that will fit me. I'm 6.4' adn 220lbs and my current German guild gun in 8mm rimmed is quite short and I don't really shot it much.

9.3x74r seems about the most affordable to shoot and hopefully will be adequate for needs.

I guess there is not much intrest in this realativly low priced double. It is one of the guns offered by NEG in the USA or Alain Combre in Canada. I was hoping that someone had one, but maybe I'll just order one and hope for the best.

I can't speak to the siace, but for that price - you should be able to get into a chapuis (also stocked to your dimensions).

Thier quality i can speak to, and a few members here have them in 9.3x74r.

Worst case-scenario, wait till you find one to look at. $5K is a lot to spend "hoping for the best."
