Got some pictures from the weaponsmith today... regarding the stock design. Mine is a left-hander though. Looking good!
"Dear Axel, Your .275 has started and we are in the last stage of the action reshaping and finishing. We have discarded the too heavy FZH magazine and we have replaced it with an original pre-war Oberndorf one. Don’t worry about the stock shape as we have at least five pre-war Rigby rifles on the rack...! We haven’t yet chosen the wood blank, preferring to complete the metal work first. I will return to you with some photos asap. All the best."

Axel Bell. Only 1100 elephants to go. I am sure W.D.M. Bell would approve. I know that I do.

Will do, my jaw litterarily dropped when I saw the stock. I have never seen a more beautiful rifle! Now to the question - what factory ammo to regulate it for with Hog, small bear and elk in mind?
Doesnt seem like Barnes offer 7 mm factory loads

Indeed John, the plan is to keep it with open sights to accomodate for the drop stock which has precisely this aiming system in mind.

One of the most beautiful rifles i've ever seen. I've been thinking recently of selling off a large part of my collection, buying a few exquisite pieces like this, and putting the rest in financial or other assets. Looking at this rifle only reinforces those thoughts!

Your very own is just a phonecall away mckinney. It only costs half a year of depreciation on a new car or even less..

Simply and exquisitly georgous. The bolt mounted aperture is an excellent sight and almost scope like in its usable accuracy. I have used mine out to just on 200 yds so far with with complete confidence.

Here is a 275 or 7*57 rigby for sale in Norway, a bit more plain than the first one here though. 4700 euros or 6000 us dollars.

Something is wrong here with regard to the Bevern Sport Rigby above, the S/N 6187 does not jive with the barrel address of 72 St James's St. This S/N range would indicate a King St. address.

Could they not possibly mix it up by mistake or accident? or perhaps it has been rebarreled at some point?

The address engraving on the barrel, and elsewhere, is not period. I suspect someone attemped to enhance this rifle and simply chose the wrong address. It's obviously been refinished and they succeded in destroying the value of a rare rifle.

Hi, friends,
Perhaps will you like the following photos of a fine rifle we have sold a few years ago. Rigby Mauser .275 Bore "High Velocity" No.1 Stalking Rifle built circa 1906 with 25’’ barrel on an intermediate Mauser action for Admiral Sir Roger John Brownlow KEYES "Baron of Zeebrugge" An identical rifle was delivered in 1908 to the Duke of Marlborough. …Fontaineble(a)u, you must be patient, we are working for you…but God don't want to allow us 48 hours a day !

That is why I would go broke as a gun dealer. If I got that rigby in I would not be able to part with it. Rick
