Took around 60 pics Satdy morn when out and about,watched junior strutting his stuff for some time too.








Of course the lurkers have seen some of the pics elsewhere.
I will get some more up when time permits.

Great photos as usual and a nice rack coming along.

What do you estimate him to be and what age ?


Question re the last photo of him on his hind legs.

Is he thrashing the branches or is he eating the new shoots of what looks like a gum tree ? (He doesn't look like he has velvet on his antlers !).

maybe 8 yrs

Well that`s mistletoe hanging down that he has his head in and my cattle love it as tucker,perhaps he was eating it.

However he was probably more so doing what is known as 'preaching' where the stags anoint foliage or bark with a wax from their pre orbital glands.The higher the better.

It had crossed my mind that it was mistletoe
but it just looked so big (as in a huge bunch
of it).

At first glance I didn't see him in photo three.

It is nice to have the "drop" on them for a change.
