Push Ctrl key down and scroll the centre button (or click the + button) to enlarge the picture, and see the woman's face in the engraving, 3/8" to the right of the top lock screw (dark one). It is about the same diameter as the screw.

Heck the pattern has them all over the place; blurred at high magnification but there's more. For instance there is another a little over an inch to the right of that same screw. It's lying on its left side.

To me it's like seeing the image of Jesus in a mold growth but I do see them ... and I have had only two beers thus far tonight.

PS - Somebody quick post an Alexander Henry or something close, I do not have one as yet. Curl?

Nice

I'd like a special room where in one hand I can generate possession of gems like this, and in the other the ability to step out into adventure hunts with them -- and be able to join the wife and kids at the end of the day.

This site gets me close.

Cheers

Holding the Ctrl button and pushing the 0 button will make the screen go back to normal.

Yes - say the other 'facers' some of which are rather goulish - even a couple pac-man-type 1/2 faces.

The girl's or woman's face was rather 'fetching', 1920's era - like "Betty Boop".

Any speculation on why this and the snap action style underlevers did not become more popular on double rifles??

John.
Nearly as nice as some of the rifles at the BGRC Nationals in Tasmania. I will have to drink some more before I will be able to see the naked lady or what ever. Very nice and I wonder where it has been and what has been taken with it. .

I can't see it myself. There is an "image" there which could resemble a face, but is it imaginative or intended? Sometimes one can see images in the grains of stone, tiles, etc.

Something true, is if you examine paintings, especially paintings by for example Aboriginal artists such as Albert Namatjira, and you WILL see faces and images in the landscapes, hills, cliffs, stones, etc. They are totems of ancestors painted into the scenes. Sometimes the images are not the imagination of the artist and can actually be seen in real landscapes.

Try this one, enlarged a bit. - A face, circa 1930ish, looking at your right shoulder.

John ,

Thought I would throw in my 2 cents for a double of the day . A deer off our farm in 2006 with an Alex Henry 450 BPE at 98 yards . http://s854.photobucket.com/albums/ab101...zpsa5159f61.jpg Thanks , Jim

That is a super nice Westley.
The Churchill .500NE on their site is a cool gun too.

Shame about the single trigger Daryl, I have to agree with NitroX, I don´t think that part of the engraving was intended to be a woman, it is just the way you see it, like looking at clouds sometimes forming an image, best

What the heck is .450 2.5" on the flat of the lefthand barrel?
