New Chapuis 470

Picked up my new Chapuis 470 NE Sunday from Champlins, met JJ Perdeou and am very pleased with the gun. Very solid piece and damn well made.

you'll like it! they are great guns.

use it for a while, and you may find that you want the thumb-catch on the top-lever to be a little larger.

i'm sending mine to JJ now to have it built up and re-checkered.

BTW,

Test target has two shot measuring .81 inches!

Bonanza,

Congratulations with your new double. Any chances of showing us some pictures? There's a Chapuis dealer that's nearby my mothers place. All the guns I've seen there have looked well made and have very nice wood. One of the guys that works there owns a Chapuis 470, and has told me that he's very very happy with it.

Good luck, and I hope we hear more about you newly aquired beauty!

Congratulations on your new Chapuis. I shot my buddies new 470 Chapuis this weekend. I was impressed with its accuracy. I could hit fist sized rocks with the right and left bbls at 50 yds.
Are you going to scope yours?
My buddy is going to scope his with a Swarovski 1.25-4x24 with the circle dot reticle in claw mounts.
He plans to use it for deer and pigs in preperation for an Africa trip with me in the future.
