Does anyone know where any records from the Thomas Turner Firearms company of Birmingham might be found?
I've searched around the web w/o sucess for this info.

You wont find them, as far as I can tell. I have a TT double too, and take a keen interest in T Turner products when they come up for sale. I emailed the Thomas Turner gunshop in Reading, UK and they said maybe they could help but never came back with anything.

What have you got? Is it the TT double in .500/450 2 3/4" that was on Gunbroker about 4 years ago?

No, it's a 577/500 #2.
But it's on it's way back already. Te wrist was broken during shipment here. I did come up with a bit of info about Turners. But it'll take time to rresearch. Most records were lost in a fire. The Turner Gunshop isn't related to this Turner.

Ak

"wrist was broken during shipment here"

What is it with people packing and sending stuff.

Their seem to be a hell of a lot of guns broken in transit,
is it bad packing or is it transport companies really couldn't GAF ?

To start with the rifle was shipped in 1 piece. IE: not broken down. I don't like that idea. I take mine apart for shipping. It was wrapped with bubble wrap and a LOT of it. The box was good sized for the rifle and well padded. I don't see any crushed areas,so a forklift didn't run over it. But I think it was because it was shipped in 1 piece.

Yep, that's probably it, wouldn't take much to flex it and break it through the wrist. Thanks.
