Courtesy of Paco Pizarro. Thanks!

Paco is a great buffalo hunter having hunted a pretty impressive number of water buffalo.

It appears that those buffalo are not to be taken lightly (no pun intended).

Paco has said he has shot over 800 buffalo, and his comments were that about 10% charge.

Looking at the photos, it does look like they get nice and close too.

A pretty impressive tally of buffalo experience.

I used to have a Westley Richards with the same markings as the one in the photos. "WR made for Lyon & Lyon, Calcutta". It was a 450/400 that I took to Africa in 1998. Luckily I was able to sell it a year later for $7200 - a whole 10% profit!

I HAVE done some DUMB things in my life.

It probably wasn't worth much as the original case had the owner's name and address in India on it, of all things! Marking up a perfectly good leather gun case - can you imagine?

He used it to hunt tigers. I took a wild boar in California and a Tsessebe in Botswana.

Yeah, I know ...
