A little hidden history

I picked up a Savage 99 in 308 Win this past summer, and when I removed the butt plate, there was a rolled up piece of paper inside.

Good stuff. I took out a plug from one of my father's shotguns and found an old firearms licence from the 1920's I think. Old anyway.

Never know what you might find under a buttplate of under a plug in the stock.

I think it is cool to know the history of a firearm.
