Does anyone have a definitive list of classic Asian hunting books? A friend of mine is building a collection and is looking for a list... he has quite a few already...

"I Killed for a Living" by Etienne Oggeri is interesting reading. Sorry it's not a definitive list, but it is a good one about hunting in Vietnam in the 1950s.

Tahawar Ali Khan - "Maneaters of the Sunderbans" - rare expensive book, but I managed to find one at a better price.

I will try and get a list from him (he is away hunting at the moment). I think it will be pretty cool to make a comprehensive list. He is buying only first-edition books...

I told him about Baker "eight years wandering.."one day and that it would be worthwhile but very hard to get in first edition.... then the following day I asked him if he researched it and he said - no need I already bought it and its on its way here.... hehe .. some people....
