Funny thing is that some say they don't want ejectors for a multitude of reasons but they still buy with ejectors because when they sell, the ejector rifle will bring a higher price.
So then all these dudes prepared to pay extra for these ejector rifles when they come up for sale must do so because.....

a...they like to make lots of noise while reloading

b...they enjoy losing heaps of expensive brass

c...they like rifles which are harder to open and close

d...all of the above

Or maybe some of them know something that the others don't!

I vote C. I was going to vote B but changed my mind and vote C. Yea, C.

No shit on C. I recently had the chance to handle a Searcy with ejectors. What a bitch to close. I had to slam it. My barrles are heavy and will almost open the gun, and of course closeing is simplicity itself.

Ok, C huh?

There is more than one cure for the "C" problem but usually it can be fixed to a certain degree by doing this.

Take that book, you know, the one so many of you guys seem to have, and throw the farker into the shithouse or the fire!
Now what's it called.....Ah that's right!
The title is something like...
"The Contortionists Guide to Double Rifle Handling."
Yes I think that's the one.
Or maybe it was that other one called....
"Double Rifle Fumbling Made Easy"

Chuck 'em away and start from scratch!

Actually I have a Holland in .465 and a Wilkes in .470. the Holland has ejectors and the Wilkes extractors. The Holland is stiffer to open but it is just marginally so. I think a quality rifle with ejectors is not much stiffer than an extractor rifle.

Yeah, but what about when closing the Holland after both ejectors have fired as that is when most doubles recock the ejector springs?

Err, closing? Isn't that what you gun tooter is for? A gentleman never has to close his gun after reloading.
