I always like that advert:

A trunk converted into a really good safari bar and cellar.

I want one of these!

I think it will make a great prop for my future wine company having a safari and vintage theme.

A mobile gun rack to add some class to the weekend informal shoot.

Folded for travel.

I'm going to try to make one of these myself.

I tried to replicate the 19th century style safari: on foot with a British DR. Some hunters hunt from dusk to dawn, not me. I got up had breakfast and some coffee then headed out around 7:30 am. If I shot something, then the day was over. Back to camp to relax and have a few gin and tonics. So very English.

Leather wine bottle carrier for dinner or lunch.

Or perhaps the gentleman prefers a Scotch?!

The great Jim Corbett deserved a bit of luxury. Facing off against notorious man-eating tigers and leopards almost exclusively alone as he did. His books tell of the shorts, light weight stockings and thin soled shoes as his stalking garb. He seemed to usually wear a shirt with a jacket for those cold nights sitting up over a bait which could have been a live buffalo or goat or a dead carcass of either or even one of the man-eaters dead human victims. What a life and what an era to live in.

Thos are beautiful rock-lock doubles!

This one wouldn't seem too - 'out of place' in that rack. My brother built this 12 bore - for a friend in the early 90's.

It is a very nice one so a good gift to receive.

I have a "safari bar" which I never take on trips! Because it always gets rejected when there is too much stuff. It is a wicker four bottle carrier, circular. Usually one bottle is not put in and pewter cups, bottle opener, etc put in that place.

I'll see if I can take a picture. Lots to do today though, picking grapes by hand with a gang of contractors next two days. May be the end of the vintage if I don't sell the last lot of grapes.

Frankly I've has to make do with a neat Indian rosewood chest and a two piece secretaire combination (in teak) chest of drawers of some proportions. Lucky I scored them abt 1980.

Impossible prices now!

I'll try. BTW $1500 for the two. How much they would cost now scares me.
