Don't know where the estimates will be, but wouldmguess final price (if the barrels really are pristine) ~25-30$

I would tend to agree with gatsby on prices, genuine old 4 bore rifles in that potential condition are very rare

Also at Holt's auction in March there are TW0 12 bore hammerless H & H paradoxes (one a 'Royal') at what appears to be very reasonable price of Ģ2500 - 3500, although Holt's frequently underestimate..................

This must feel massive in the hand.
Proportionally, it looks like a 12 or 10 bore. The hammers are proportionally sized as is the grip etc.

Often, the really big guns have hammers that are the same as the smaller guns so they look undersized but not on this gun. I hope they used the correct picture.

I think the English are pros at scaling their guns. Long ears on a 4 could be difficult to cock and smaller hammers could be requested by the client. Cal Pappas has a 300+ page book due out this year devoted to bore rifles. Gonna be a good one.

The borerifles are becomming more and more rare. Especially the ones in minty/pristine conditions.
I am glad I didnīt sell mine. Looking foreward to Cals book. Have ordered two of them once they hit the street.

Yeah that is a nice 10 bore rifle!



The Julia's catalog has come online. The 4 bore is magnificent but is not a ballgun or a rifle. A monster shotgun with 42" barrels. estimated by Julias at 40 to 60k
