Are Chital the most beautiful deer species?
      #20091 - 28/10/04 09:59 AM

Many people claim, the Indian Spotted deer, or Chital, is the most beautiful deer species in the world. It certainly is a lovely deer.

Do you agree or not that it is the most beautiful?

(PS Sorry about the quality of these two photos, they wouldn't stand around for us!)

They are the 'prettiest' to me.
Beautiful coloured coat, toned bodies & chiseled features on males and females.

I think the skins will look the best. I should have the skins from last months chital hunt back from the tanners soon. They will be nice looking rugs. For a shoulder mount I would love a big Red or Sambar. I would certainly be interested in getting a full body mount of a Chital stag though.

Yeah, chital wins in terms of "prettiness"...but in terms of noble/masculinity...A red stag with swollen neck and shaggy mane during the rut wins hands down.
