In the process of aquiring a J C Higgins model 50 /98 mauser made by FN for Sears .They were top drawer and had chromed bores And barrels by High Standard.Didn't really need a 30-06 but hey it's a mauser.Have a BRNO 21H in 7x57 with the double triggers and a couple 38 Husky Swedes /FN 98 9.3x62 as well.....what's not to like maybe it will be a graduation gift for my son when he finishes college ........Harold
You have a pair of fine rifles there. They have a well deserved reputation for being accurate. I bought one in 270 for a donor action to build a 6.5-06 on. Made the mistake of shooting it so a friend could use it for a deer hunt. With Remington 150's off the shelf from Walmart, it grouped 4 shots into a measured .64 at 100 yds. I left it alone and went looking for another donor after buying 200 rnds. (all they had) off WW's shelf.
