talking about the Heeren Büchse I remeber only tastless and terrible example's of worst Ferlach baroque from the hippie age.

a abominableness like this http://www.waffenboerse.ch/gebrauchtwaffen/jagdwaffen/buchsen/heeren-outschar-luxus-7x65r.html
or this http://www.waffenboerse.ch/gebrauchtwaffen/jagdwaffen/buchsen/heeren-buchse-royal-7x65r.html

here is a Heym /Suhl pre war rifle in 5,6x52. its so easy to made a good rifle!
this is the real deal:

Needs a new bigger caliber IMHO, maybe 7x64.

Hello lancaster,

That's a surprisingly high price, for the German market.
The rifle is an excellent choice for stalking roe deer, and I like the cartridge (.22 Sav.) very much.
And I agree: that is one example of a Heeren rifle as it should be - the other nice type would be one of the Swiss 10.3x60R rifles.

Regards,
fuhrmann

I have had the desire for a nice Heeren for years now, but just have not acted on it. A friend had a good original German built Heeren in 7x57R many years ago. I almost bought that rifle and regret not doing so.

Another very nice one, its gone for 2500 euro sometime ago on egun. Chambering is 8x57, good price for an Nagel&Menz.

Hard to justify the price on the Ferlach example, but I won't knock their work--they also have to do it the way the customer wanted. And I am glad someone can still do top tier work. The working guns like the Heym are indeed "everyday nice." Steve
