Josef Winkler 9.3x74R, what can you tell me?

Hello Gentlemen,
I have the opportunity to buy a Josef Winkler double rifle in 9.3x74R. But apart from the fact that this is a gunmaker from Ferlach I know very little about this gunsmith.

Have any of you gentlemen any experience with this firm?

The gun is a side by side with ejectors and clawmounts and nice engravings and the price is OK. The overall condition is very good as far as I can judge it, but I have not shoot the gun yet.

I know nothing specific but I have seen a few Doubles and Drillings by Winkler and I feel the workmanship is first rate.

This would be a pre war rifle correct? If you are happy with the package and the price then you should have no worries about the product.
