Rattled a few pics off last night.

Heavy thistle,blackberry and feed made life tough with the camera having to aim it between stalks and other shite.

The stag has shed his mane for the summer and his velvet is only at the knob stage,I hope to be able to find him again to check his progress but that high growth is a pain...(snakey)

They get smarter as they get older hey ?.

Yes its the Scotch T alright,there`s worse about than that too.
You might notice dead berry canes as it was sprayed last year and is back to the previous now.

One forgets about snakes in high grass when hunting overseas. Even in Africa I found myself once walking confidently through high grass.

But as Gryph says the high grass in Aust is 'snakey'. At home when I need to walk through high grass I make as much noise as possible, stamp my feet a bit, tap a stick in front of me etc. The noise and vibrations may cause any snakes to flee before you get there, but not always. If they are sleeping or aggressive, they may not move.

Not possible to do this sort of noise making if hunting.

Correct John..you cant stomp sneaking around looking for deer.
My snake gaiters have arrived,thats a mental help haha.
