I would like to hear from anyone with personal experience with this make of double from Ferlach, Austria. What caliber was it, what did you think of it's workmanship, accuracy, etc.

Any additional info? Links to this rifle? Pictures?

Here's their website.

I doubt you'll hear any valid complaints on this maker.

I have no personal experience with them, but I've only heard positive things about Hambrusch doubles. Is it a new or used one you are looking at?

Hi Mike,

I'm not looking for a review of a specific rifle. I just was looking for any info and opinions from individuals that have owned, shot, handled a Hambrusch double. I think you know i asked this same question at another location and nothing negative popped up. I'm just trying a different gene pool.

Cheers
Jim

They made nothing but the best. More broadly speaking, I would be shocked if anyone would be unhappy with any double made in Ferlach; they have made, for a very long time, nothing but the best. I have a few such doubles, and consider them among my best double guns, best double rifles.

Not so much "looking at it" but got a little interested in a 500NE that was recently on the market.

Hambrusch 500 NE

Start making room in your gun safe and buy it! Like I said elsewhere, " If it came from Ferlach it's gotta be good!" Ferlach is the home of the makers guild of Austria. Nothing but the best gets a name. There are some that have been made or proofed there w/o trade names that are still very good quality.
I have a couple of older ones and newer one that are 'Best Quality'. I'll be back Dec 2 if you want to see first hand the quality of there Ferlach rifles.

Dan (500grains of this forum) has one in .500 N.E. - you can see it in action in Buzz's video on Elephant hunting and read some here:
