Where did the NZ hunting and fishing forums go?

I'm heading down under for a new Tahr hunt June/july 2012, although I need to do a bit of reasearch too keep up to date.

This forum was splendid, however, now it's all gone?

Hm..

Well, might have to leave them kiwis alone with the sheep and go to aussie in stead? Arnhemland for Wild Bulls perhaps.. ?

New Zealand Fishing and Hunting Forum is indeed alive and well.

NZ has much to offer that Oz does not, suggest you do them both as just a short hop across the ditch will get you to the other.

I was just following up on NitroX's joking - I wouldn't drea, about not wanting to visit NZ again.

In fact, I've been to NZ twice, and not been to Aus yet..

I really should do something about it, but funds are limited.

Every time I start thinking about going to Aus or africa aso to hunt, I end up with thinking of a new trip to NZ to hunt Tahr again.. I love those snowclad mountains with the hardy critters.

I've found out that hunting tahr (and other alpine hunting) has an age limit, whereas other ways of hunting can be done for many years after i quit climbing the hill...
There is a time for everything, and I do need to get the Tahrhunting out of my blood....

Which way o you fly to get to NZ without coming via Aust ?

Or did you just transit quickly though Aust ?
