2 Bore Jones Underlever SxS "The Double Deuce"

I will be starting the 2 Bore Jones Underlever Black Powder Cartridge Side by Side Rifle in a few weeks....I have named this one "The Double Deuce" and I will be including video as well as written and photo documentation of this build.
Due to the length and complexity of this project I won't be posting individual updates on each forum I am a member of like I have done for my other documented builds. I have set up a Blog at Wordpress and will only be updating that blog. When I update the blog I will post in this thread that I have added a new update.

People will be welcome to ask me questions or make comments in this thread and I will try to answer them as I have time.

Very interesting.

I wonder how many double rifle 2-bores were ever made? Even most 4-bores were single barrels I believe.

Did 2-bores exist previously?

The answer is NONE, from all the research I've done, nobody has tried to build a SxS 2 Bore before.
Yes 2 Bores have existed as Muzzleloaders first, and then later as Cartridge rifles and a few punt guns. All the shoulder fired 2 Bores I've come across in my research have been single shots. There were a few(very few) made for Africa and then there were quite a few made for the Whaling Industry in the late 1800's.

I'm the only one in the world that is currently making a Single and now a Double Rifle that will Chamber the S&H 2 Bore brass.

Somewhere on the Forum is pictures of the 2 Bore Jones Underlever Single Shot I built a couple years ago.

Finally after 8 weeks I am back to working on the Double Deuce. From here forward I shouldn't have to many distractions since this is the top of my build roster now.
